Thumbs up Re: Perranporth Beach

Top spot.I tend to stay with me tribe at Holywell bay when we visit. One of my favorite walks is up around the headland from Holywell and then down onto the beach for a great walk into Perranporth.......It doesn,t matter what the weather is doin the place is stunning....Surfed there aswell, which again is great.I prefer the place in low season with less of a crowd...

Find this beach really boring. Most of the beaches I have been on have a kind of cool atmosphere. This one doesn't do it for me.

The bloody great sand dune drives me crackers too. Would be better if the levelled it. Open the place up a bit. Bit then what to I know. I preffer Whips (!)for one reason or another!

have been there every year since i was younger, apart from last year. It seems to be as flat as a pond half the time during the summer, when it does get a decent size the lifeguards put the red flags up, so you cant really win!!. i guess it would be best to go there out of season when the lifeguards shoot off.

The best day i had there was during a rainy, very windy day, were only a handful of people in and they kept the red flags down for some reason which was nice of them.

having said that it is a beautiful place, and i'll be heading back there again next summer

The only prob I had with Perranporth is the amount of tourists there.

Can't be doing with crowded beaches...

cmon this place rocks! spent many summers down there *and winters.. which were amazing, the locals are friendly the surf is almost perfect for me and the scenery is top notch, the atmosphere is great too the only one downside is how busy the small town is the summer and people littering the damn place

Perran Rocks!
