Watched this the other day, well worth a look!

Whilst I was out in australia travelling these guys seemed to always be in the news, for good and bad reasons.

"The bra boys" is a film about the cultural evolution of the inner-Sydney beachside suburb of Maroubra and the social struggle of its youth – the tattooed and much maligned surf community known as the Bra Boys. The story is narrated by Australian actor Russell Crowe and is told through the eyes of members of the Bra Boys.

seen it, dig t but it glamourises them a bit. doesnt show the full story. needs to be more rounded

The Bra boys are way too glorified...
Good on them for their sense of community but the whole gang thing is just cr*p
A gang is a gang in anyones language.. imagine if a London firm suddenly became media darlings... don't think that would happen somehow!
The way they act in the surf outside of their home breaks... do that kind of thing back home in NZ and you'd be half killed... gang member or not!
