no, not for sure. i'm heading down tomorrow and i'm taking my wetsuit but am hoping just to be able to wear rash vest and board shorts.depends when you go - by the end of the summer, the sea should have warmed up quite a decent amount so i wouldn't say you need a wetsuit for sure! have fun if you get down there

Everyone i know has been wearing wetsuits because the water is still coldish.Sea temperatures around Newquay at the moment is 15 C .

I myself wear a full summer wetsuit, around UK waters at this time of year.

If you have a spare £39,you could buy a Blue Rush wetsuit from the Newquay wetsuit centre.

The wetsuits they sell are full wetsuits, and titanium lined.Fistral Surf Company sells the same sort of wetsuit for £55.So its worth while looking into getting a wetsuits,as it saves money if like me you go down to Newquay alot.

Hunny.take no notice of Stormy..u gonna need a suit big style. I was on the beach when we had th hottest day (last tear me thinks ), and the water still took yer breath away wen you ran in. Just get a summer suit (they come in different thicknesses), that will be fine, a winter one will be too much and you will have cooked like an oven ready chicken by the time you get to the sea (frazzled if the tide's out )

Have fun

MJ yer wussie...stop frightenin the lad

Bin surfin in shorts n no rash vest for the past 2/3 weeks...awesum...granted, the water feels cold when you step in but you wimin tend to go in an inch at a time screeching at every wave...only way to do it is to get in there head under straight away...body temp soon adjusts n then its just sheer pleasure

Do recomend a wetsuit for cloudyer days tho as you need the sun to dry you off n warm you up when you cum out...Stormy's tips a gud un...blue Rush suits are bargain priced and are great for occasional use...u wanna get more serious then check out the TIKKI suits at Pro Surf...I picked mine up for £59.99...bargain...still waitin to use it tho as it looks cool hangin on the bedroom wall

You'll need a wetsuit if you're planning on staying out for any length of time. The deeper water out the back can get very cold even by the end of summer. Don't be silly and think it's warm 'cause it ain't.
