Midlands surfers anyone!?!

I'm kinda hoping there are some people out there that can help me!

I'm from the Midlands, just outside Birmingham, or Tamworth (for those who have heard of it, we got the SnowDome here) to be exact.

Thing is, as with all Midlanders, i'm a keen surfer, who is land locked! Surely it cant be just me who is from the Midlands but shares a passion for the waves & tries to get to them at any opportunety!?!

I'm hoping that there are others like me from the Midlands/Warwickshire area who are also keen surfers & not just once in the summer for a jolly down to Cornwall.

I'd love to hear from you guys, keep in touch, meet up to ride some waves.

Perhaps eventually get a group together who every few weekends head out somewhere in search of waves, maybe Wales etc as its a little closer than a trip to Cornwall.

Anyways, as this is my first post, i'll just leave it brief & to the point.

Hopefully hear back from you Midland surfers soon.

Take it easy.

Adams.

Cool, thanks for the input.

I was beginning to wonder if I was the only Midlander here that surfed, thankfully not!

Is this 'Stormy' user a regular user?

I 'd like to try to find/join/create so that regular surfers can head out together to near surf spots.

I guess safety in numbers, petrol/car sharing & a great way for others to get to know one another.

Plus the added bonus's of picking up tips, ideas etc from other surfers.

Gutted i'm missing the BoardMasters this week, anyone know whats happening??

Heading to St Ives at the end of this month for a week of surf (my girlfriend has now officialy classed herself as a 'surf widow'!) Ha.

Take it easy guys.

Get her some lessons, then she will get hooked and want to go as much as you do. There loads of chicks in the line up these days. if nothing else she can pose with the board on the beach.

Midland surfer!!

Hey bud!!

Another Midland surfer!! I live in Sutton Coldfield just up the road from Tamworth!! Been surfing forever!! there is a small group of us that all live here and go down the coast most weekends.

We have a little surf wagon and jump in it and head to where its going off, usually Croyde as its a nice little break!! BIG when it gets puping, sucky waves and steep!!

Your welcome to come tag along, throw in your board and a tent and away we go!! happy days!! bring the girlfriend, a few of the guys also have surfing widows who sit on the beach or in the car and do crosswords!! They need to get in the water, I keep telling them!!

Or failing that give us a buzz, always up for getting smashed and talking about huge banks that I smashed lips off!! I exagerate but hey aint that what we all do!!

Your not alone pal, there are more us!!!

anyway, get back, email adamp8484@yahoo.co.uk

Hi
Yeah i'm from Evesham, about 40 mins out of Birmingham, and seeing as i'm only 16, I can't drive anywhere, so my surfing time is pretty limited.
I'm hoping to head down to Swansea this weekend just after the GCSE results come through, but i'm faced with the mission of making it on trains and buses with my board, a tent and other stuff for the weekend!
Plus, my mate who does surf has a stingy mom who doesn't like her camping on her own, so it's hit and miss weather we are actually going to make it this weekend!

Pretty much no one near me surfs, hopefully there will be a couple when I start collage in a couple of weeks!

Well, as I've found out, there are plenty of surfers in & around the Midlands area.

I'm sure with you going of to college, you'll hook up with people who share a passion for the waves.

Well, if you do get to head to the coast, have a good one.

Take it easy

You lot still alive and kicking.

I'm in Sutton Coldfield aswell and hit the surf when I can either on my own or with a couple of mates from Cov way.

Also organise trips with fellow vdub mates now to North Devon regularly.

Get back in touch, hopefully we can organise something, fuel pricesare killing me.
