Favourite Places in Newquay
(sort of follows on from the last few postings on 'London Surfer Chicks')
Thought I'd post a few of my favourite places in and around Newquay
For a drink I like 'The Boarding House', it's just got a really relaxed feel to the place, in the afternoon Walkabout has a great view, or the pub on Pentire Headland for a hot chocolate, Glendorgal (by Lusty glaze) for the food.
For a surf I like the bay (when it's small everyone flocks to Fistral, leaving the bay empty (if you're lucky there might even be seals and dolphins).
Revolver has got some of the prettiest bords in Newquay (also some of the ugliest!), the owner won't hassle you or try to sell you anything, all his stock sells itself. I think he is happy just to be able to go out and buy the things he likes, I'm sure he must cry every now and again when he has to part company with some of his favourite things.
St. Agnes is like a minature St. Ives, without the husstle and busstle.
On a wet and windy day, go for a walk along the costal path at Chapel Porth, then have a jucy hot sandwitch from the hut when you get back.
There are plenty of places just tucked out of the way, to escape the melee that is Newquay in the summer.
