New guy needs help!

I hope im posting this in the rite section.....

I've just got back from a 6 month tour of australia and surfed a mates board nearly everyday (7'6 nsp). Now im back in witterings, england i am begging to get a board and go for a surf...one problem...I have only £300 to get the lot (exl wet suit) could people possibly recommend a good board or internet shop i could visit to get the most out of my money....

I am looking for a 7'9 to 8'ft board as the waves down my way are mostly caused by passing boats and never much more than 1-2 ft.
I have seen a 8ft escape board which does look very nice but is £350 and i am stretching enough as it is for the £300...without going on to long i need help pleeeeease!
Thanks

Josh.

Hi Josh,as a mod i moved your post to Surf Chat.

As for your post,if you find a decent surf shop. You could find yourself a decent second hand board to buy.

I once bought a really good second hand surfboard for £80 and a excellent Winter wetsuit for £40.If you look, you can find some real bargins.

as said above try for second hand boards or NSP boards are good value. may be worth a check on ebay, theres sometimes some good deals on there. maybe try calling some of the shops in newquay like tunnel vision to see what deals they have on. they may be able to do them mail order although i would suggest going to see / feel them before you buy.
Good luck.
