I have been thinking of joining the BSA for ages now but what does the BSA actually do?

Being a surf fan I check out their website at least once a week and am not sure what they actually do.. Nothing ever seems to change on it apart from the job vacancies section. The news is very infrequent and all it ever seems to be about is arguements amonst their ranks. If I am wrong then I'm sorry but I thought this was our Front page for the world to see all about BRITISH SURFING but it never seems to show anything....

Please put me right and tell me I am wrong and they do lots but it is all behind the scenes and they don't want to blow their own trumpet.

It's like a union, it gives you a basic level of third party surf insurance (incase you break someone) and you need to be a menber to compete some comps, though most will let you take out a day membership at the actual event.

Though it would be the other party needing insurance if they hit me
