I'm coming down to Newquay next week to learn to surf and was wondering how warm/cold the water is? I wakeboard in Scotland so am used to colder water, but was hoping my shortie wetsuit would be enough in Newquay.

well put it this way, sumties in like aprilwhich aint ven summer i go in the water and stay in for a few hours with just rsh vest and board shorts on! so it aint that cold but tat is coz i get sidetracked by all the eautiful waves ! i wear nothin but a shortie other than in like november december and january were i can get away with a 3/2 full

I'm in summer suit 3/3/2mm no boots at the moment, just starting to get a bit cold by the end of a session if the air temp is down

FaZe, I must be a bit of a woose, I won't go near the water at that time of year unless I'm wearing a winter suit, boots, gloves and hood (any fool can be cold, it's not as much fun surfing if you're gibbering!)
