Need advice on a body board

After being away from newquay for 12 years I've decided to move back. The thing is bevause I've been out of the game for so
Long I don't know which board to buy.

When I was a lad I had a wave rebel nut that cost I've £100 now all I can see online is really cheap gear. Wave rebels for £40 and names I have even heard of .

So I need some names and advice on what to buy. I need a massive board 'cause I've put on six stone since leaving newquay.

Please advise. My budget is 70-100

Id say go for a NMD or VS board, there probably some of the best on the market right now, maybe a 42,44 inch depending on your size and build.

Google; Bodyboard HQ, its a massive shop located somewhere in cornwall lol, not exactly sure where but they stock most good makes of bodyboards

hope this helped

Thanks for the help. I bought a 4paly board. I haven't had much use for it. I went back to Lusty (where I used to lifeguard when Ken Shipman had the beach) and I've been to Challaborough near Bigbury. Oh, I went to fistral as well.

I had top buy a XXX suit, but I hope top get far more use out of it next summer.

I bought it from a guy... he's got a small hire place opposite red line pub, on the mini roundabout. He was really helpful.

The thing is that all the names I knew when i left Newquay 12 years ago, are gone. Wetsuits... I had a quicksilver shortie and a circle one, but it's all the new names coming in.

I didn't spend too much on the suit, i think it cost me £100. In total i got the board, suit and flippers for just over £200.

I'm based in Plymouth now, but I've not been down to Newquay for a few weeks. At least Plymouth is closer to Newquay than Lancashire!

Matt, did Ken buy it off Robert Gould?

I used to go down there regularly when they had the pictures in the old cafe of when they did the sea wall repairs in the early 70s. With going on holidays only, I always used to get the cheaper bodyboards. Lusty was the only place I've had a bodyboard snap on me (the old polystyrene ones). Well, two of them infact. Belter of a beach for bodyboarding when it's not busy.
