HEADWORX BPSA TOUR 2003
Cayton Bay, Scarborough
Jake Boex wins penultimate BPSA Event Jake Boex charged in good 3 - 5 foot surf conditions on the east coast to take the £2000 Headworx North East BPSA Surf Championships at Cayton Bay. The surf allowed the competitors to perform high quality manoeuvres, Jake pulling a massive aerial in the final helping to get the judges nod. Sam Lamiroy pushing his surfing to the limits failed to catch the better waves in the final but still finished second, taking his ranking position to first place on the BPSA tour. Llewellyn Whittaker finished third; fourth place went to last years Winner Mark Harris.
The result now puts Sam Lamiroy and Mark Harris as the two favourites to take the tour title. The last event Headworx North Devon BPSA Surf Championships taking place this coming weekend, will decide who will be the eventual winner of the Headworx BPSA UK Tour 2003 and take home the £2,500 first place cheque.
In the Voodoo Dolls BPSA Women?s Tour it will be a head to head between 2002 British Champion Tracy Boxall and winner of the Voodoo Dolls BPSA Women?s Welsh Contest winner Kay Holt, however current champion British Champion Robyn Davies may cause an upset.
