Rip Curl Boardmasters Surf Festival Ends With Epic Wave Conditions
The 2004 Rip Curl Boardmasters Surf Festival, in association with The Daily Telegraph, returned for it’s concluding day at Fistral Beach, Newquay, for the final of the Men’s Rip Curl 4 Star World Qualifying Series Contest.
The weather gods smiled on the event with the expected swell increase arriving due to the effect that Hurricane Alex had on the Atlantic Ocean. Six-foot waves were on offer by the time the final arrived which was unthinkable at the start of the day when the organisers arrived to find an Ocean impersonating a millpond! [Read More]
