Hawaii surf team drops out of world title contention

'Hawaii dropped out of contention for the team championship in the ISA World Surfing Games Saturday, but still has a shot at an individual title.
The seventh day of the eight-day contest was completed in 1- to 3-foot waves at Huntington Beach, Calif.
Hawaii dropped to sixth place after four of its surfers were eliminated. Australia is in first, followed by Brazil, the United States, South Africa and France.
