Nuuanu Pali Lookout has a broad view of the windward coast from a hight of 1200 feet. In 1795, Kamehameha I routed Oahu's warriors up the Nuuanu Trail during his invasion of the island. On these steep cliffs, Oahu's warriors made their last stand. Hundreds were thrown to their deaths over the pali by Kamehameha's troops. A hundred years later, during the construction of the Old Pali Highway, more than 500 skulls were found at the base of the cliffs. No s**t!
