River mouth beach break that is best between 3-6 feet. Further peaks are to be found north of the river mouth and are subject of a constant change as sandbanks shift around. Exposed to wind with SW being offshore. Works best from low to 3/4 of a high tide. Generally good for beginners as long as you stay away from a river mouth and its currents.
B3301 passes thru Hayle village from where you can follow signs to Riviere Sands caravan park. You can also get to the beach through Gwithian by following B3301 to the village where you can park right above the beach.
High season: Lifeguard service is available in high season only.
