Lusty Glaze Beach is privately owned and is open to the public all year round. It is most exposed beach out off all in the Newquay Bay Area so it picks up most swell. Breaks both left and right and is rideable at all tide stages with low to high being the best as it gives extra push. Popular with beginners. It is patrolled during the summer months by lifeguards from the National Beach Lifeguard Training Centre, which is located at Lusty Glaze.
Watch out for rocky outcrops on either side on mid to high tide.

High season: Lifeguards are on duty from mid-May to mid-September. Cafe, restaurant, beach shop and surf hire are also available.
All year: Shower, changing rooms and toilets.

Lusty Glaze is located on the outskirts of Newquay. From the A30, follow the signs for Newquay at the Indian Queens roundabout. Take the signs for St Columb Minor and enter Newquay on Henver Road. Go over a double roundabout and through a set of traffic lights, then turn right to the Lusty Glaze Road before road veers left along the coastal road. 450 space Car Park.
