Good beach break that works well at all tide stages. There are both lefts and rights along its length subject to shifting sandbanks. You can also find a good right hander breaking off Pentire Point. It is fairly sheltered from wind at high tide and SE'rly are offshore. Picks up lots of swell and is suitable for surfers of all abilities. Beware of bad rips when waves get bigger.
From A39 take B3314 at Wadebridge and follow signs to Polzeath where you can park close to the beach.
High season: Lifeguard service.
All year: Surf shops, cafes, restaurants, car park, toilet.
