Tolcarne Beach is situated in the middle of the Newquay Bay with Great Western to the left and Lusty Glaze Beach to the right. It produces both lefts and rights and works on all stages of the tide. It picks up more swell for when surf is clean but since it is more exposed to the wind it can get unrideable in messy winter surf.

High season: Lifeguards are on duty from mid-May to mid-September. Bistro, Cafe, beach shop and surf hire are also available.
All year: Toilets are present on the beach as well as on the road above the beach. Surf School is also available year-round.

Tolcarne Beach is situated right below Narrowliff Road (A392) which runs parallel to it. Several car parks are located near the beach but carry charges.
